We’re excited to announce the return of the First Stop Ski & Snowboard Film Fest to the Paramount Theater in Rutland on Saturday, November 22, 2025. This annual event celebrates our mountain community and raises funds for Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports, whose mission is to empower individuals with disabilities through sports and recreation.
Winter of 2025, Vermont Adaptive provided 3,746 lessons to adaptive athletes and veterans—helping generate an economic impact of $3,588,848 for the State of Vermont. Beyond the numbers, Vermont Adaptive brings people to our region every day, enriching our community and strengthening the local economy.
This year’s event will feature an incredible lineup of ski and snowboard films, including Blank Collectives’ Cold Calls and One Step Ahead, Cody Townsend’s The Edge of Reason, Burton & Red Bull Media House’s Paved, and more! In addition to these international films we are highlighting one local athletes’ short film as well!
Last year we had over 175 attendees and this year we’re expecting more than 500 attendees, along with strong local and regional media promotion through print, digital, and social channels. This is a great opportunity to showcase your brand in front of an active, outdoor-loving audience while supporting a meaningful cause.
