Stockli Montero AR Pro Ski + Strive 13 Binding 2027

The Stöckli Montero AR Pro is an 84 mm all-mountain ski, new for the 26/27 season. It keeps the standard Montero AR's shape and rebuilds it with Stöckli's race-department construction. It measures 128-84-114 mm in every length, comes in five lengths between 165 and 185 cm, and the turn radius grows from 14.2 m on the 165 to 18.4 m on the 185.

The geometry is carried over; the build is not. A sandwich construction around a poplar-light and beech All Mountain Core gets a Titec aluminum top layer, a Race Base with racing-graphite coating, Racing Sidewalls in black, and FTC where the standard AR runs tip-and-tail flex (TTF) and adaptive contact length (ACL). Stöckli credits the race parts with precise power transmission and optimum glide. Independent 2027 testing translated that to snow more bluntly: the sidewalls are stiffer and the base thicker than the AR's, the edge grip is exceptional, and the ski wants speed before it comes alive. Up front, the All Mountain Rocker (70 mm rise over 400 mm) and the tail rocker sit over camber for turn entry and release.

This is a ski for strong pilots who carve hard and arrive with speed — a race background helps. If you want easy low-speed manners instead, buy the standard Montero AR: it keeps what the Pro gives up at low speed. Soft-snow days are not its job either; at 84 mm the AR Pro leans clearly to the piste side of all-mountain, and Stöckli's Stormrider models cover that ground. Stöckli publishes neither a weight nor a flex rating, so don't buy it expecting a light ski.
