Classic Road

The Plymouth Loop - 17.97 Miles, 812 Feet of elevation

This is by far our most popular road loop, perfect for cyclists of all levels looking to experience Vermont’s beauty and charm.

Route Overview:

Start your ride from our shop, heading east along the Ottauquechee River on Route 4. After warming up on this scenic stretch, take a right onto VT-100A, a gentle climb through picturesque farmland and past President Calvin Coolidge’s historic homestead in Plymouth Notch. Make sure to sample some of our famous Vermont Cheddar at America's second oldest cheesemaker Plymouth Cheese.

From there, enjoy a fun descent down Salt Ash Mountain until you reconnect with Route 100 South. Take a right turn and head north on this rolling section of road, passing tranquil lakes, postcard-worthy views, and even a rope swing if you’re feeling adventurous.

Finish strong with a 1.5-mile downhill coast back to our shop—the perfect way to end a great day on the bike.
