Our Review: After testing these 2022 Salomon QST Blank Skis over the past month around Vermont we've determined this might be the best soft snow ski for the hard charging skier who isn't afraid to push the limits. Sure it's great in powder but what we love about this ski is how you can still ski it on the groomers when you're ripping across one trail to the next set of trees days after the storm. The new Rocker Profile that gives the ski a shorter 17m turn radius (186cm length) which lets you smear your turns and wiggle through tight trees with ease. The new Double Sidewall technology stolen from their narrower S/Force skis make this "wide" ski feel nimble compared to other skis in the category. In short: If you're aggressive, don't worry about the width, just ski it and you'll be blown away.
Salomon's description: The athlete-designed QST Blank is a pillow-popping, powder-loving 112 mm waist freeride ski built to slay everything on deep days at the resort or in the backcountry. Camber underfoot and an early rise in the tip and tail adapt to whatever the mountain throws at you. C/FX super fiber in the tip and tail adds power, but also allows for quick, pivoting turns. Double sidewalls create confidence-boosting stability and power underfoot, while tip and tail Cork Damplifier enhance versatility and playfulness.
