COVID-19 UPDATE 3/21/2020

Saturday, March 21, 2020.

Dear First Stop Board Barn Friends & Family,

As a family-owned and operated business that lives at the heart of our community here in Killington, Vermont we are working hard to respond thoughtfully to the challenges posed by Coronavirus.

As a public health and safety measure, our retail store will remain open, by appointment only, with limited hours and strict rules until further notice.

We heartily encourage you to take a look at www.firststopboardbarn.com. Over the next few weeks we'll be dropping prices for our end of season sale!

Electric Goggles and Nordica Skis now on Sale!

We're building new bikes daily and have access to order many models in our warehouses from Cannondale, Trek, and GT in a timely manner.

If there are things you're looking for that you don't see, or something you see that we have not yet sale priced, email info@firststopboardbarn.com or call 802-422-9050.

We will not be open to the general public to browse in-store so if you'd like to look more closely at an item we can use FaceTime to share video or photos to help find the right gear. If there is something specific you'd like to purchase in-store please contact us to schedule an appointment.

We're not trying to be rude, but for now, let's skip the high fives, fist bumps, and handshakes to protect ourselves, our families, and community. We ask that you join us in practicing social distancing. This means maintaining a 6 foot distance between us.

We appreciate any and all support you can show us, as you can imagine, this has ended our winter season 3 months short and will affect our spring & summer business drastically. With the loss of business we have been forced to make the incredibly difficult decision to lay off many employees who are part of our family. It is our intention to rehire as soon as we can.

We encourage you to support small and local businesses when you can... we like to think we have offered a lot to people, both near and far, over the past 40 years and look forward to continuing to do so.

Below we've listed important information for Season Rental Customers, Season Tune Customers, Bike Service customers in terms of curbside drop-off, pick-up, and pre-pay specials.

Stay well, stay active, and remember this too shall pass.

Thanks for supporting our mom & pop shop, it means a lot!

FOR BIKE SERVICE

Make an appointment first

Email info@firststopboardbarn.com or call 802-422-9050 to discuss your bike's needs and schedule an appointment.

Curbside drop-off

On the scheduled date of service, bring your bike to the shop and leave your bike in the rack outside. Knock on the door or call us at 802-422-9050 so one of us can retrieve your bike. If our mechanics have any additional questions they will call you.

Keep it clean!

If you've been sick, please do us a favor and disinfect your bike prior to your arrival. Our mechanics will wear nitrile gloves while working on your bike. At the completion of the service, the common touchpoints on each bike (handlebars, controls, saddle, hubs, frame) will be sanitized prior to pick up.

Safe payment

We will call you when the work is completed. Ideally, we'd like to take payment over the phone or we can send an invoice by email so you can pay online. This way we can avoid handling credit cards or cash.
